I think I remember this happening two years back? They claimed that Mars was going to appear to be the same size as the moon. Unfortunately it wasn't the case. It just looked like the tip of a pencil (like always) and the moon looked like the tips of an eraser (like always). I guess we can only hope it will be as big as they are speculating!

The truth is, Mars gets close to Earth every two years. So, last year, Mars was very close. Three years ago, it was spectacularly close ... And right now, I'm sad to say, Mars is actually behind the Sun; we can't see it at all.
